How Eyes Off Indiana handles your information

What we collect

• Petition signatures: first and last name, email, ZIP code, and confirmation that you are an Indiana resident and support ALPR limits. City/county, phone, and comments are optional.
• Petition comments: comments you choose to share may be displayed without contact details in public updates or dashboards.
• Site analytics: Google Analytics collects standard usage data (device/browser details, pages visited, approximate location). You can block or clear these cookies in your browser.
• District lookup: addresses entered on the “Find Your Representatives” page are sent to our lookup API to return district information; they are not stored in our database.

How we use your information

• Validate and count unique petition signatures.
• Send thank-you emails and occasional updates about ALPR policy work (you can opt out at any time).
• Respond to questions you send us.
• Improve site performance and understand which resources are helpful to supporters.

Data storage and retention

• Petition signatures are stored in Supabase (U.S.-hosted). We keep them to prevent duplicate entries, maintain an accurate public count, and follow up on the petition campaign.
• We review supporter records periodically. You can request deletion or correction at any time.
• Server and analytics logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

What we share

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, signature totals by region) to advance the petition.
• We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us operate this site or when required by law.

Tools and third-party services we use

• Supabase for securely storing petition signatures, organizer data, and counts.
• Stripe to process donations; payment details go directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for site analytics and tag management.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel for conversion tracking.
• Email (Google/Gmail) to send confirmations, updates, and respond to inquiries.
• District lookup API (AWS) for returning legislative district details based on addresses you provide.
• Map tools including Leaflet and Carto basemap tiles to render interactive maps.
• Content delivery networks (jsDelivr, unpkg, cdnjs, Google Fonts) to load site libraries, fonts, and icons.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message or by contacting us.
• Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your petition entry by emailing info@eyesoffindiana.org.
• Use browser settings or plugins to block analytics cookies if you prefer not to be tracked.
