Greencastle, IN — November 3, 2025 — Eyes Off Indiana, Inc. has officially been recognized by the Indiana Secretary of State as a domestic nonprofit corporation.
Following certification, the organization’s board held its inaugural meeting, adopted bylaws, and elected its first officers:
- Walker Lasbury, President
- Wyatt Brewster, Secretary
- Leo Hamilton, Treasurer
“Indiana needs clear, constitutional limits on how surveillance technologies collect and store data,” said Walker Lasbury, President of Eyes Off Indiana. “Our goal is to make sure these tools protect communities without eroding the privacy rights guaranteed by the U.S. and Indiana Constitutions.”
Eyes Off Indiana was formed to promote privacy, transparency, and accountability in the use of automatic license plate reader (ALPR) technology. The organization supports laws that set firm limits on how long driver location data may be stored, restrict commercial data sharing, and require public oversight of surveillance systems.
The board’s next step is to secure federal 501(c)(4) recognition to expand statewide advocacy and education. To fund this process, Eyes Off Indiana is seeking contributions from supporters committed to responsible technology policy.
Note: Contributions to Eyes Off Indiana, Inc. are not tax-deductible.
